In many ways, Torrey Pines Beach is far more enjoyable than is Venice Beach. It is not crowded by development. The adjacent wetland is protected and today is in better shape than it’s been in for many years. I’m not as close to this stretch of sand as I was back in Venice, but as you can see Torrey Pines can be well worth a short drive.
